Campfire Treats offers one of the largest (and constantly growing) selections of all-natural, single-ingredient dog treats and chews made on the West Coast.

DVMs and Veterinary Nutritionists as Authors for our Blog

Our blog attracts thousands of readers from around the world every month.

We’re launching a new series focused on dog nutrition, featuring over 50 articles that explore commercial pet food ingredients, safe human foods for dogs, and foods that pose health risks to our canines.

We’re looking for DVMs and veterinary nutritionists to join our editorial team as authors or co-authors.

Tasks

• Write or contribute to 1–2 articles per month
• Articles typically range from 750–2,500 words, depending on the topic
• Ensure content is engaging, well-researched, and factually accurate, with references where appropriate
• Collaborate with our editor to ensure a consistent tone and style across all articles

Requirements

• DVM or certified veterinary nutritionist with a degree from a U.S. college
• Experience writing educational, research-based articles or blog posts

Compensation

• Freelance position
• Competitive compensation, plus bylines to highlight your expertise

Meat Cutter / Butcher

Part time: 30 hours/week

Tasks

• Trim and cut meats, poultry and fish
• Clean and sanitize tools and equipment
• Load and unload freezers, refrigerators and dehydrators
• Maintain clean, safe and sanitary condition of kitchen, food storage and preparation areas at all times
• May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned

Requirements

• Work experience in a butcher shop, meat department or restaurant desired, but not mandatory
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for at least 4 hours
• Valid California food handler's certification
• Must have a source of reliable transportation

Order Fulfillment Associate

As an Order Fulfillment Associate, you will play a key role in making sure our customers receive their orders accurately, quickly, and with a personal touch. You will pack freshly prepared dog treats into their final packaging, process customer orders, and prepare shipments. You’ll be part of a small, dedicated team that values care, accuracy, and a great customer experience.

Part time: 30 hours/week

Tasks

• Pack freshly prepared dog treats into their final packaging
• Prepare customer orders for shipment using Shopify
• Pack and label boxes

Requirements

• Basic computer literacy is a must
• Previous experience with Shopify is a plus, but not required (training will be provided)
• Valid California food handler's certification
• Ability to follow procedures and pay attention to detail
• Comfortable working on your feet and lifting light packages
• Must have a source of reliable transportation
