We only work with premium meat, poultry, and wild-caught ocean fish — all from U.S. farms and fisheries. We will never use any additives, fillers, or preservatives. Everything in our products is 100% natural.
Animal Welfare
We believe that all animals should be treated with kindness and respect. This also includes the farm animals raised for meat, for which we bear a special responsibility. They, too, should be treated humanely and live in a healthy natural environment suited to their species.
To keep us and our farm and fishery partners accountable to the highest standards, we work with independent certification organizations like Certified Humane, the Global Animal Partnership (G.A.P.), and the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC). Campfire Treats is also the world’s first food company (human or pet) in full compliance with all requirements of the Better Chicken Commitment, a global campaign to improve the welfare of the billions of chickens raised for meat.
We are proud that all our Certified Humane and G.A.P.-certified products are also recognized by the ASPCA® (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals®) through its Shop With Your Heart® program.

For our treats and chews, we only use chicken that is certified by Global Animal Partnership and meets all requirements of the Better Chicken Commitment. All birds are allowed to roam freely and have outdoor access. They are fed a nutritious, 100% vegetarian diet and are raised without antibiotics or added hormones.

Humanely Raised Pigs From American Family Farms

100% of the pork we source is certified by Certified Humane and is fully compliant with California’s Proposition 12 (The Farm Animal Confinement Initiative), which bans the sale of pork from farms using gestation crates. All animals are raised outdoors or in deeply bedded pens without any crates. They are never given antibiotics or growth hormones.

We exclusively use beef from cattle that are born, raised, and harvested in the U.S. Many of our beef treats and chews are also farm animal welfare certified by Certified Humane.
Sustainably Wild-Caught Ocean Fish

We only work with wild-caught ocean fish from U.S. fisheries. Our cod is Marine Stewardship Council certified and caught by hook and line in the pristine waters of Alaska. Our anchovies come from the clear coastal waters of California.
